Link policy
Do listings get a dofollow link?
Verified tools with a complete page get a standard followed link to their website. New and unverified listings are nofollow until a maker verifies them. Paid placements are always marked as sponsored. We don't sell links, and we don't rank tools by who pays.
The rules
| Listing | Link to the tool's website |
|---|---|
| New or unclaimed listing | rel="nofollow ugc" |
| Claimed by the maker, but not yet reviewed | rel="nofollow ugc" |
| Verified (claimed, then reviewed by a person) and a complete page (definition, 3+ features, at least one screenshot) | Followed link |
| Anything paid (featured or sponsored placement) | rel="sponsored", labelled "Sponsored" |
Why we do it this way
Google treats paid links and link schemes as spam. A directory that sells followed links gets ignored by search engines, and then its links are worth nothing to anyone listed on it. Giving a followed link because the page has real, checked content keeps every listing's link worth having.
What about founder-to-founder links?
Founders on Toolz Hunt can say they're open to guest posts, integrations or comparison mentions, and message each other. Those conversations happen between founders. We connect people; we don't sell, broker or guarantee links.
Removal
We remove listings that are spam, scams, dead or made up, and their links go with them.
